Meet Dr. Hyun Sang Lim, DMD

Raised in Orange County, CA, Dr. Lim finds it incredibly rewarding to have the opportunity to create positive and lasting change in people’s lives by treating and improving their pearly whites. With nearly a full decade of experience and counting, he feels fulfilled to play a crucial role in maintaining our patients’ smiles and helping them achieve a greater quality of life. 

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

As far as he can remember, Dr. Lim has wanted to help others while working with his hands. It wasn’t until his second year in college when he volunteered at a free dental clinic in his hometown of Orange County that he discovered a great interest in dentistry. After spending time helping patients and building good relationships with others, he chose to pursue a career as a general dentist.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

To begin his journey to treating smiles, Dr. Lim first attended California State University, Long Beach for his undergraduate before studying at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, he decided to join the US Army as a general dentist and practiced there for three years. He later moved to Texas and continued practicing for four years before moving to Georgia to join our team at Dentistry at Hickory Flat. Today, he remains committed to learning as much as possible and regularly pursues continuing education courses to refine his skills.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Lim is happily married to his wife, Mi Seong Kim, and together they have a four-month-old boy named Ethan. In his free time, he enjoys being active, going on hikes, playing games, traveling to new places, and watching K-dramas.
